The Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), the National Metrology Institute Germany (PTB) and German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) have analysed response a 50 mm × (diameter height) NaI 38 CeBr3 scintillator, 1500 mm3 CZT semiconductor airborne spectrometric detector mounted on Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) in comparison campaign carried out at aerial site Mollerussa (Spain). decision thresholds that indicate presence artificial radioactivity are calculated count rates low energy region spectra, man-made ambient dose equivalent from background flights performed altitudes ranging between 10 m 60 m. capability different systems to detect determine activity 345 MBq 137Cs point source flight compared.
